Legendary R&B singer Lauryn Hill is holding a pop-up with a meet-and-greet on Monday in Leimert Park.

KNX News’ Emily Valdez reported that hundreds of people waited in line for hours on Crenshaw Boulevard for the pop-up, which is located at the Power Building Life Development University.

“I hope Lauryn Hill is definitely gonna be there,” one fan told Valdez. “A lot of people are out here waiting, but we're supporting her and all of her greatness and histories. I mean, she’s legendary.”

Carla Gamble, a member of the Recording Academy, said she’s also excited to meet her.

“When I do, I'm just gonna congratulate her, and you know, just tell her to keep going, and then how much she really inspired me,” she said.

Barbie told Valdez she has a special connection with Hill.

“My dad is an iconic conga player from Cuba. He played for Lauryn Hill many times, even at the BET Awards,” she said. “I've had a long history of her being in our family, and so I'm here today in honor of my family.”

There is merch being offered at the pop-up, which goes until 5 p.m.
