Shocked but not surprised - that seems to be the reaction of some L.A. residents following the deadly shooting at the Trump campaign rally in Pennsylvania Saturday.
KNX News' Jon Baird spoke with some people who feel more trouble is ahead as we move closer to the election.
The feeling seems to be that there's so much division and simmering anger in the U.S. now that we've reached the point where people can't even talk to each other, let alone agree to disagree.
"I think it's unfortunate," one local said. "I mean, that's the state of our country that two opposing sides - well, we're just assuming that it was an opposing side - and we're in a state that we can't argue or disagree in a peaceful way."
When asked if he was shocked by what happened, he said, "Nothing in this country that happens is shocking anymore, to be honest."

Another man disagreed, saying he does not believe there will be more violence in the months ahead since Mr. Trump wasn't severely hurt, but it was scary.
"I think if he was killed, then it would be a violent violent situation," he said.
Many agreed, though, that the shooting should never have happened, no matter how much some people don't like Trump.
