Officers responded about 9 p.m. Feb. 18 to reports of a shooting in the 1400 block of Locust Avenue, police said.  They saw evidence that a shooting had occurred and learned the victim was taken to a hospital by a private party.

The investigation was ongoing to determine the motive for the attack, but detectives do not believe the suspect and victim knew each other, police said.
