Long Beach middle school experiences brief bomb scare

A middle school in Long Beach was briefly evacuated Tuesday due to a potential bomb threat.

Officers went to Hamilton Middle School in the 1000 block of 70th Street at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to KTLA5.

Parents were seen gathering outside the school, and students were moved to the auditorium as a precaution, according to the station.

Police cleared the threat by 9 a.m., KTLA5 reported. No bomb was found.
