Deputies responded to a commercial building on the 10000 block of Alameda Street in Lynwood around 1:45 PM after receiving a report of an armed man allegedly trying to break into a home or building.

No one was hit in the exchange of gunfire.
The man took off on foot and ran to an area near Martin Luther King, Jr Boulevard and South Alameda, where authorities were working to determine precisely what building within the complex he is hiding.
More than a dozen patrol vehicles surround the buildings.
Once officers were able to get inside the buildings they determined the man was gone and is currently on the loose.
