
LOS ANGELES (KNX) — A small earthquake was reported near the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles early Tuesday morning.
According to the U.S. According to the Geological Survey, the preliminary magnitude 2.7 quake struck at 7:38 a.m. about 2 miles east-southeast of Echo Park and 2.5 miles west-northwest of Hollywood. Its depth was measured at roughly five miles.
Though Angelenos reported feeling the quake across the city, there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. A magnitude of 2.7 on the Richter Scale is considered relatively mild.
