IDYLLWILD, Calif. (KNX) — A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck the area near Idyllwilld in Riverside County on Monday evening, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
Shaking began shortly after 11:30 p.m. roughly six miles from the Idyllwilld-Pine Cove area, high up in the San Jacinto Mountains, about 13 miles from Palm Springs, and 37 miles from San Bernardino. The USGS reported a depth of about 7.5 miles.
There were no reports of damage or injury.
