The minimum wage in Malibu is scheduled to rise annually on July 1 based on changes to the Consumer Price Index. But last week, the city council voted to suspend this year’s increase, keeping the minimum wage at $17.27 until July 2026.
The city is also looking at loosening up restrictions on signage and permits for different events during the summer. The planning commission will hold a public hearing on that proposal on Monday night at 6:30 p.m.
