A man was fatally shot at a homeless encampment in the Panorama City area, and police Tuesday sought the public's help to solve the crime.
Officers were sent to Orion Avenue and Rayen Street at about 10:50 a.m. Monday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

"When officers arrived, they found the victim in an encampment on an embankment of the 405 Freeway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," an LAPD statement said.
The man, in his 30s, was taken to a hospital, where he died. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
"No arrests have been made and there is no suspect information at this time," the police statement said.
