Man found dead in car on South L.A. transition road

The southbound transition 110 Freeway and the eastbound 105 Freeway were closed Thursday night after a man was found dead in his car.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to a call of a possible shooting around 10 p.m., according to multiple reports. When they arrived, they found the man dead inside his Toyota Carolla.


The victim has not been identified at this time, but he was described as a 34-year-old male.

KTLA reported that a Sig Alert was issued at 10:45 p.m. for the connector ramps between the 110 and the 105 freeways.  It was lifted at 6:08 a.m. Friday.

Anyone who may have witnessed the shooting was urged to call CHP.
