A man was arrested after allegedly kidnapping and holding a 17-year-old girl captive at his home near Big Bear Lake for nearly a week in early March.
KNX News’ Nataly Tavidian reported that the abduction happened on March 1. Authorities said the teen girl was picked up by 26-year-old Zackary Dourousseau. It’s not clear how they know each other.
“When she was picked up, she was taken to his home, and when she refused to have sex with him, he held her against her will,” said Gloria Huerta with the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department.

She said the teen was able to escape the home after six days. The suspect eventually had to go to work, so he allegedly took the girl with him and locked her in his car. The moment she had an opportunity, the teen escaped from the car and ran to a local business, where the employees called for help.
Dourousseau was arrested and is free on bond.
