A man who was barricaded in a motel in the Sherman Oaks area Wednesday was taken into custody, police said.

Officers were sent to the area of Sepulveda Boulevard and Camarillo Street at about 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect was taken into custody at about 9 a.m., the LAPD reported. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
