The coroner's office Monday publicly identified one of four people killed in a weekend freeway crash in Downey.
Daniel Nichols was 26 years old and died from blunt traumatic injuries, the coroner's office said.
California Highway Patrol officers responded at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday to the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway, north of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, where they found the victims of the solo-vehicle crash, the CHP reported.
The victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
