A man sleeping under a car was killed when the owner of the vehicle started her car and ran over him in Northridge.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Devonshire Division responded to calls of a person down at 4:19 a.m. on North Reseda Boulevard near the Northridge Recreation Center and south of Devonshire Street, where they found the pedestrian trapped underneath a newer model Mercedes Benz, LAPD Officer Rosario Cervantes told City News Service.
Fox 11 reported the victim was homeless and that it appeared to be an accident.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with officers.
