
LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Los Angeles police said a man who allegedly pointed a gun at construction workers was shot by a police officer and arrested on Friday.
Hollywood officers responded to a report of a man pointing a gun at construction workers at a Wilshire Division around 9:20 a.m., according to the department.
An officer-involved shooting then occurred at Beverly and La Brea after the man fired at officers and the officers fired back.
The man ran off, making his way into an apartment complex at Beverly Boulevard and Detroit Street. He surrendered there and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers said a gun was found at the scene.
Due to the investigation, officers said traffic in the area of North La Brea Avenue between Beverly Boulevard and Oakwood Avenue will be impacted for several hours.
