No tickets were sold matching all six numbers in last night's drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery, pushing the estimated jackpot for Friday's drawing to $1.15 billion -- the ninth-largest prize in U.S. lottery history.

The numbers drawn Tuesday night were 11, 14, 38, 45, 46 and the Mega number was 3. The jackpot was $1 billion.

It was the 30th drawing since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.

A ticket matching five numbers but missing the Mega number was sold in Lemoore, a small town south of Fresno, and is worth a little over $1.7 million, according to the California Lottery.

Tickets matching five numbers were also sold in Missouri, Pennsylvania and Wyoming.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 302,575,350, according to the California Lottery. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.

The Mega Millions game began in 1996 as The Big Game and was given the new name Mega Millions in 2002. It is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Virgin Islands.
