It may be Friday the 13th, but if you play the lottery tonight could be your lucky night.
The Mega Millions jackpot is up to $670 million with a cash option of $317.8 million. No one won the drawing on Tuesday night.
Officials with the Mega Millions say there have been seven jackpots that have been won on Friday the 13th. The last time that happened was on Jan. 13, 2023 in Maine, according to the Mega Millions.
KNX News Jon Baird spoke with some residents about if they’re planning to buy a ticket.
“I don't even remember to do it,” one man said. “And then I hear after that no one won and then I say next time I'm gonna do it and then I forget again.”
“I wait until it gets closer to the billion mark and then, you know, I probably throw away $2,” another man said.
One woman said she knows what she’s going to do if she wins the lottery.
“I'd fund my children's education,” she said. “I'd take care of my sister and I'd give a lot to different philanthropies that I partake in.”

Another woman also knew what she was going to do if she won.
“I'd look into helping people with health care. Isn't it time?” she said. “Helping with the homeless situation. You know, there's a lot of ways to make good with this money.”
The odds of winning tonight’s lottery is one in 302 million, according to Baird.
The drawing will be at 8 p.m. PT.
A man recently claimed he bought both winning tickets in a $400 million California Lottery jackpot in December 2023 at an Encino, but he lost the second ticket.
