On Thursday, Metro's Board of Directors unanimously approved a route for the northern extension of the K-Line, also known as the Crenshaw Line, that currently runs from LAX straight north to the West Adams neighborhood.
The move will extend the line through Mid-City and West Hollywood to Hollywood, ending the Red Line at Hollywood and Highland.
This is not a final approval of the project, as building the 9.7-mile extension could cost up to $15 billion.
