Immigration raids across L.A. are making some people think twice about taking the Metro.

In a statement to KNX News 97.1 FM, Metro officials said that it has seen a 10% to 15% decline "since the immigration enforcement activities began."

"Official ridership for the month will be finalized in the middle of July." officials said.

KNX News’ Nataly Tavidian spoke with Metro riders at Union Station about the raids.

Amy Farrow, an international paramedic, told Tavidian she thinks what's happening is ridiculous.

“I've seen it over the years that people are being separated from their families,” she said. “People who are actually brought to this country and they're 5 years old are being separated, and it's absolutely heartless and senseless.”

One man said he also doesn’t like what's going on.

“They're just looking for a better life,” he said. “It's unfortunate that a lot of people come here the way they do, but we can make that dream for everyone. There should be a way to make them legal. There should always be a door.”

ICE maintains that the people they’ve arrested have criminal records.
