Police sought the public's help Tuesday to find a 74- year-old woman last seen in Morningside Park who has an unspecified medical condition that affects her memory.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Matilde Soto was last seen Monday in the 2100 block of 81st Street after walking away from a family member while they were working in the neighborhood.

"She suffers from a medical condition causing memory loss and confusion," the LAPD said in a statement. "She will not speak with people who are unknown to her."

Detectives described Soto as a 5-foot-6-inch tall Hispanic woman weighing 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink beanie, a burgundy sweater and gray pants.

Anyone with information regarding Soto's whereabouts was urged to contact LAPD Missing Persons Unit Officer Hendrickson at 213-996-1800.
