SAG-AFTRA granted waivers to more independent productions to resume filming while the union continues its strike.

Forty-five independent productions - including Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway, The Rivals of Amziah King, starring Matthew McConaughey, and Death of a Unicorn, starring Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega – were given waivers, Deadline reported.

The Chosen, a Christian drama series, was given a waiver to continue filming earlier this week. Bride Hard, with Rebel Wilson, was one of the first productions to get the waiver.

The productions were given exemptions under the union’s “Interim Agreement.” SAG-AFTRA is granting the waivers to a select group of independent productions not affiliated with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

But not everyone is in agreement with that.

“Better Call Saul” star Bob Odenkirk and “The Mindy Project” star Ike Barinholtz spoke to TheWrap on while out on the picket line, saying actors shouldn’t be asking for waivers.

“You lose, we lose, everybody loses, that’s tough s**t,” Odenkirk said.

“We all are in this together and if some of us are starting new projects and promoting others, that’s gonna cause dissension,” Barinholtz said. “We need the opposite. We need solidarity.”
