As crews work to repair the broken LADWP water pipe that burst last week in West Hollywood, most businesses all around Sunset Blvd. and Holloway Dr. remain closed.
Dialogue Cafe and Book Soup are among the businesses that are still closed.
Mayor John Heilman told KNX News Craig Fiegener there’s help available for people and business owners at West Hollywood City Hall.
“We are working very closely with our business community,” he said. “We have a dedicated staff person at City Hall who is working with them to try to get them reopened if they're able to reopen, and also letting them know what resources are available not only for them but for employees who haven't been able to work due to this disruption.”
LADWP crews are aiming to have the sinkhole filled and temporary asphalt in place by Thursday.
