Motorcyclist killed in Palms crash identified

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Authorities Thursday identified a motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a car in Palms.

Firefighters responded to the 3100 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard, near National Boulevard and the San Diego (405) Freeway, around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.

Morgan Edwards, 21, of Los Angeles died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner and the LAFD.

The woman who drove the car was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, Prange said.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
