A mountain lion has been wandering Sierra Madre in the San Gabriel foothills, according to police.
The cougar was spotted in the 300 block of West Carter Avenue in Sierra Madre Thursday morning.

The Sierra Madre Police Department has urged residents to be careful, stay alert, and keep their eyes peeled for mountain lions. Officers also encouraged people to keep their pets inside.
