Nearly 70k SoCal Edison customers still without power

Almost 70,000 SoCal Edison customers are still without power as of Thursday morning due to the Mountain Fire.

Of the 69,712 customers without power, 23,834 of them are in Ventura County.


SoCal Edison is also considering power safety shutoffs for 257,604 customers with 55,486 customers in  Ventura County.

KNX News’ Craig Fiegener went to a business park on Verdrugo Way where he said businesses were closed due to having no power.

A gas station worker told Fiegener she had power at her home in Ventura, but businesses in her area were shut down.

“McDonald’s, businesses are shut down at Carmen,” she said. “Valero station shut down the shopping mall.”

Some of the people Craig spoke with said that Edison told them the power wouldn't be restored until 9 p.m.
