Police in Nevada are searching for people who went to Burning Man on Aug. 30 and may have any information about a murder.
Authorities said someone at the festival found a man dead in a pool of blood at a campsite in Black Rock City. It is believed the killing happened between 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., according to the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators sealed the area off to collect evidence.
Police are trying to identify the victim, who is described as a white male between 35-40 years old, about six feet tall, 200 pounds, with short brown hair and facial hair.
There were between 70,000 to 80,000 people in attendance at Burning Man this year. The investigation is complicated because attendees have left the festival, KNX News’ Emily Valdez reported.
