A family of seven living in Compton is getting a fresh start.

It’s all thanks to the nonprofit Holliday's Helping Hands.
“She has a refrigerator full of food,” Dr. Katina Holliday, the nonprofit’s CEO, told KNX News’ Pete Demetriou. “We have furniture in each and every room. We decorated it, as you see. It was handpicked by our team. We put clothes in there for the kids for the first day of school.”
Dr. Holliday added that after getting clean and learning parenting skills, Adrianna’s future is bright.
“We're excited about what she's doing with the six kids,” she said. They're in school. Her senior has a 4.0 GPA and wants to go to college, so we're excited that we're able to give this family a sense of hope and now a new home.”
Adrianna said she’s also excited for what lies ahead.
“I'm going to start college soon at community college [to be] a dental assistant in August, and I'm just hoping to further my future,” she said.
