A Norwalk family is heartbroken after their dog somehow escaped from the groomers at a Petco in Lakewood.
Audrey and Cynthia Booher took their dog Betty Lou to the groomers on Thursday and haven’t seen her since. They were told that the pup ran off across Lakewood Blvd., but say they haven’t been allowed to see security camera footage of what happened.
“It's a little bit hard to believe unless we see for ourselves what happened in the footage that they still don't want to show us,” Cynthia told KNX News’ Nataly Tavidian. “What goes through my mind is maybe they hurt her in some way. Maybe, you know, she died and they're trying to cover it up.”
