A two-month hunt for a sexual assault suspect in Orange County has ended with the arrest of a man in Cypress.
After arresting 36-year-old Sione Mounga Vea, of Anaheim in connection with multiple sexual assaults in the cities of Stanton and Long Beach, Orange County Sheriff Special Victims investigators believe there may be additional victims.

According to the O.C. Sheriff's Department, On Nov. 26, 2023, Vea attempted to solicit sex from a 19-year-old female, subsequently pointed a weapon at her, and sexually assaulted her.
The victim provided a description of the suspect and his vehicle to police.
In a statement released by the OCSD, the department said, "Through investigative leads and techniques, investigators determined the suspect was also connected with an unsolved sexual assault case from October 2022 in the city of Stanton, as well as an additional unsolved sexual assault case from October 2018 in the city of Long Beach."

On Jan. 9, police booked Vea into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of multiple charges, including felony sexual assault-related charges, kidnapping with sexual assault, and assault with a deadly weapon.
