An off-duty L.A. Sheriff's Sgt. narrowly escapes death after his car was shot at - and hit - on the 210 Freeway.
As KNX News' Pete Demetriou reports, the sergeant was driving his car west on the 210 near Pasadena at around 9 PM Thursday night, when a white Freightliner truck came up right behind him, tailgating him.
The sergeant pulled over to get off the road when he heard a gunshot and could feel the impact through the car frame.
A quick stop at a gas station confirmed there was what looked like a bullet hole in his car.
California Highway Patrol officers were called to the scene, given a description of the truck, and found it near the I-5, 14 interchange.

CHP Officer April Elliott says the driver, Jaime Aguilar of Delano, was booked for attempted murder and faces other charges, including discharging a weapon at a vehicle and brandishing.
Investigators are now checking to make sure the gun found matches with a bullet impact point on the sergeant's car.
