A protest by anti-vaccination demonstrators stirred things up at Dodger Stadium over the weekend. Authorities were forced to close the entrance to the site for about an hour, which may have discouraged some people from sticking around to get the vaccine.
L.A. officials say they don’t want to see that happen again. In preparation, they plan to set aside some space for protesters while giving room to those who want shots.
But the demonstration angered LA city councilman Gil Cedillo because that’s his district and his constituents have been hit hard by the coronavirus.
Former LAPD officer Joe Buscaino, who is also on the city council, was angry about the protest.
He says this is why the mayor decided to set aside room for protestors so they can be heard. But Buscaino is adamant that when it comes to the vaccination process, the demonstrators should not be allowed to get in the way.
One of the groups believed to have taken part in the protest is called “shop mask free Los Angeles.”
