UPDATE: Family of unidentified Latino man struck by car in Hawthorne, left for dead, reunite with him

HAWTHORNE (CNS) - The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services circulated a photo today of a man admitted to a hospital after being found unresponsive in Hawthorne on Christmas Eve, and asked for help identifying him.

Within hours, family of the young man were found and reunited with him.

The man, believed to be in his early to mid-20s, was found late Thursday lying in the middle of the street at 118th Street and Hawthorne Boulevard, with his skateboard nearby, according to DHS officials, who said it appeared he had been hit by a vehicle.

The man, who was not carrying any identification, was taken to Harbor- UCLA Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
