On Sunday, one of the two hawks stolen from SoFi Stadium was reunited with its owner.

Charles Cogger told KNX News’ Emily Valdez that Bubba, the male hawk, was spotted in the backyard of a home in Hacienda Heights.

Cogger said he was in his car with his son when they got the call from Inglewood police that a woman in Hacienda Heights had sent them a photo of a large brown and black hawk.

“I was actually talking to the lady when I was about 45 minutes away and she was like, ‘he's still sitting here on the chair,” she said.

He added that prior to the call, the woman had sent a photo of the hawk to a friend who suggested it might be one of the stolen hawks.

Cogger said Bubba is health and has clearly been eating after he’s been missing for a week.

Last Sunday, Bubba and Alice, the other hawk, were in their crates when they were stolen from SoFi Stadium. The cart that the birds were in was abandoned in South Los Angeles.

Alice is still missing. She’s described as being dark brown and black with white tips on her tail.

Anyone with any information is encouraged to snap a photo and call the Inglewood Police Department.
