ACTON, Calif. (KNX) — The high-speed chase of party bus stolen Tuesday out of San Diego, Calif. started in the San Fernando Valley and ended around 12:40 p.m. in the Acton, Calif. area, according to police. The owner of the rental service that owns the vehicle said the bus was stolen in the morning, while the driver exited the vehicle to pick up a client.
Susie Leitzke, the owner of Top Dog Limo Bus, told CBS L.A. live on air that the driver was in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego when someone jumped into the vehicle and took off. At the time, the vehicle had a full tank of gas Leitzke said.

While a GPS tracker was not on that particular bus, Leitzke told the news outlet a driver on the 91 freeway called to complain about the bus's erratic driving, unaware that it was stolen.
Thanks to the call from the witness, Leitzke was able to call emergency personnel and give a play-by-play of where the bus was headed.
She told CBS that there are were no GPS trackers or video devices on the vehicle.
Ultimately the chase came to an end in Acton, as the bus violently rear-ended a silver sedan while speeding in the slow lane of the 14 freeway near Palmdale, Calif.
CBS 8 San Diego helicopter footage shows the bus completely stop in the opposite lanes of traffic after the crash, open the door and step out with their arms up as they walk toward the police.
The driver of the stolen bus, believed to be a woman, was arrested and taken into custody. At this point it is unclear what led to the theft.
At this time there is no update on the condition of the driver of the silver sedan that was hit prior to the end of the chase.
