Armen Hagopian, a firefighter-paramedic who’s worked for the Pasadena Fire Department for six years, suffered a severe spinal cord injury in the accident and is now paralyzed from the waist down. His family says he’ll most likely never walk again.
A fellow member of the firefighter’s union set up a GoFundMe to help pay for Hagopian’s medical bills, rehab, and other future expenses.
The organizer wrote that he “risked his life to save lives and homes in our community... now it's time to support him.”
As of Tuesday morning, the GoFundMe has raised over $90,000.
