New details have emerged about a Pasadena man who disappeared last week while in Tijuana.
The last time anyone heard from John French was Thursday evening when he called his wife to let her know that their car, which was having mechanical issues, was dropped off and he was getting food.
Pasadena Police Lt. Tim Bundy told KNX News' Margaret Carrero, "We got the report, his wife waited, hoping he would return. It sounds like and then reported him missing here on Monday."
Bundy said border crossing records indicate that French crossed back to the US on foot, Friday - the day after he went missing.
"At that point, we have no idea where he went. So that's where we're investigating now. We don't know if he returned to Mexico...or where he went after that," Bundy said.
Officials have no reason to believe the records are inaccurate, but Bundy said they are looking for video or other evidence to confirm it was French who used his paper work to cross the border.

He says French's cell phone has been off the entire time, and according to a flyer put out by the department, French has been diagnosed with medical and mental health issues and does not have his medication.
