It's been more than two months since four Pepperdine students were killed in a crash on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, and officials met Monday to announce their plans to make the stretch of road much safer.
The Secretary of California State Transportation Agency said they've allocated $4.2 million to start safety improvement programs along that critical aspect of the PCH.

Improvements include enhanced striping at curves, optical speed bars at 10 locations within the 21-mile stretch, 13 speed feedback signs at 10 locations, and the addition of three California Highway Patrol officers whose function will be pulling over speeding motorists.
Officials say they are making this the number one highway safety priority in the entire state of California.
