Pedestrian critically injured after being hit by driver in Panorama City

Authorities on Wednesday were seeking information about a hit-and-run crash that severely injured a 19-year-old pedestrian in Panorama City.

The victim was crossing Van Nuys Boulevard inside a crosswalk at Tupper Street at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday when he was struck by a white Toyota sedan whose driver did not stop but continued northbound, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The young man was in critical condition when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took him to a hospital, police said.
