A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and killed Tuesday on the Ventura (134) Freeway in the Pasadena area.
Officers were sent to the westbound 134 Freeway near San Rafael Avenue at about 5:35 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally injured person.
Traffic was routed away from the area while an investigation was conducted, the CHP reported.
