
A pedestrian was struck and killed by multiple hit- and-run vehicles in the Lomita area on New Year's Eve.
The victim was hit while crossing the street about 11 p.m. Sunday on Western Avenue near 247th Place in the Lomita area. Then, while the victim was down, they were struck by two more vehicles that did not stop to render aid, Los Angeles police reported.
The pedestrian died at the scene, police said. Their name was withheld pending notification to the next of kin.
