Pedestrian killed by Metrolink train in San Fernando identified

SAN FERNANDO (CNS) -  A 46-year-old man struck and killed by a Metrolink train in San Fernando was identified Thursday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office.

Firefighters responded to the 1100 block of Truman Street, near North Maclay Avenue, around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday regarding a fatal collision, according to spokesman Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

San Fernando resident David Padilla Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the medical examiner's office. There were no other injuries.

The San Fernando Police Department is conducting an investigation.
