Pedestrian killed on San Bernardino Freeway in Baldwin Park

A pedestrian was killed in a collision Tuesday on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Baldwin Park near La Puente.

California Highway Patrol officers responded at 4:14 a.m. to the westbound freeway and Baldwin Park Boulevard where they learned the victim had been walking between freeway lanes when struck by a vehicle, CHP Officers Ramon Kendricks told City News Service.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of one lane of the westbound freeway and the Baldwin Park Boulevard off ramp for an unknown duration as it investigated the crash.
