LOS ANGELES (KROQ) — Perry Farrell, front man of the legendary Los Angeles-based rock band Jane's Addiction, called in to the Klein/Ally Show Thursday morning to discuss his upcoming 'Kind Heaven Orchestra' show at the Belasco on Feb. 17.
He also talked about how his kids took to learning instruments during lockdown, what it's like performing on stage with his wife Etty Lau Farrell, and shared his thoughts on the 50th anniversary of KROQ and hearing Jane's Addiction on the radio for the first time.
"I can remember vividly driving around with Dave Navarro who had a habit of brushing his hair in the rearview mirror while he drove about 80 mph everywhere," Farrell said.
"We're just driving around and then on came 'Jane Says' and then I remember that for a kid that makes music, radio was so important to our lives. We were driving and then one of my own songs came on, and that's the moment I'll never forget. It stunned me and I just began to be filled with joy... and it was KROQ."
