The Los Angeles Police Department Thursday was asking for the public's help identifying the gunman who shot a person to death inside a vehicle in South Los Angeles.
The shooting was reported around 10:50 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of East 113th Street, according to the LAPD. Upon arrival, officers found the victim seated in a car, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics also responded, but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
ABC7 reported that the victim was a 17-year-old boy.
There was no suspect description immediately available, but according to the LAPD, the suspect allegedly fled in a light-colored four-door sedan. A motive for the shooting was unknown.
