
A person described by police as a "suspect" was taken into custody Thursday at Webster Elementary School in Long Beach, police said.
Officers went to the 1700 block of West 32nd Way after receiving a call from the school at 9:53 a.m. "regarding a person on campus," the Long Beach Police Department reported.

"Officers quickly responded and safely apprehended the suspect," police said. "No weapons were located. LBPD will have high visibility patrol around Webster Elementary including the Neighborhood Safety Bike Team to engage with our community."
Information was not immediately available on the suspect's name, or on what charges the person might face.
