
BIG BEAR, Calif. (KNX) - A single-engine plane made an emergency landing on the road Monday.
Just before 10 a.m., a Piper PA-28 landed on Cajon Boulevard in the San Bernardino National Forest, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
Authorities said four people were on board, including an 18-year-old was who was flying the plane. The teen was flying from Apple Valley Airport to Riverside Airport when he heard a "pop" and decided to make a landing in a safe area.
The California Highway Patrol also responded to help with traffic control.
No injuries were reported. The FAA and NTSB are investigating why an emergency landing was made.
