An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 9:30 p.m. Thursday to 4510 W. 23rd St. and West Boulevard regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call. When they arrived, officers found the victim on the ground suffering from gunshots wounds, an LAPD officer told City New Service.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
There was no suspect information.
