Portion of I-5 in Sun Valley reopens after debris and flooding forced closure

A portion of the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 in Sun Valley reopened Monday after it was closed for several hours due to debris and flooding.

As of 7:04 a.m., the left two lanes on the northbound I-5 at Lankershim Boulevard are open, while the three right lanes are closed, according to Caltrans District 7.

Crews are assessing the area at this time and are working to open the other lanes.
