A proposed warehouse development near Dodger Stadium has been put on hold due to a recent change in zoning regulations.
The developer had obtained all necessary permits but missed the deadline to complete an environmental study mandated by the district's recent Interim Control Ordinance.

Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez, who introduced the ICO to slow down development in the area, expressed satisfaction with the outcome.
"Their permit expired December 2nd, meaning that they now have to abide by zoning that we put forward in the area, which does not allow for this type of development," Hernandez stated.

Hernandez told KNX News' Craig Fiegener that with the developer's original plans to build the warehouse so close to an elementary school, negative impacts on the community would have been likely.
While the ICO is meant to be a temporary measure imposing stricter regulations on development in the area, undoing it would take a lot of time and effort. Hernandez believes these additional hurdles will deter the developer from pursuing the project further.
