The time of the call was about 4 a.m. Tuesday, according to a lieutenant with the Torrance Police Department.

A short chase followed as responding officers spotted the suspects, whose vehicle crashed into a pole on Anza Avenue near Sepulveda Boulevard, he said.

All four suspects were taken into custody.

None of the suspects or officers involved was injured and a police vehicle was not directly involved in the collision, the lieutenant said.

All lanes of Anza Avenue were closed between Sepulveda Boulevard and Carson Street as SoCal Edison crews worked on repairs.
